More information

The performance offers a journey through the coming together of El Lazarillo and La Celestina. Lazarillo, after being orphaned in Salamanca, will serve different masters: A cunning and vile blind man, and a selfish priest without scruples. It is a fact that Spaniards laugh at the misfortunes of others. At his side is La Celestina, a character who uses cynicism, hedonism and villainy, in whom we see a portrayal of the mockery of love. Before her we find Calixto, professing and declaring his love for Melibea in such an excessive manner that it seems unreal though it ends in a fatal outcome.
